Algorand has long set the standard for performance. Now, we’re lowering the barrier to entry even further. With xChain Accounts, users can access Algorand dApps using supported EVM-compatible wallets, including MetaMask, Rabby, and Coinbase Wallet, without needing to download a new wallet or manage a separate wallet identity.
When a user connects their existing EVM wallet to the xAccounts portal, an Algorand account is programmatically created and linked to their EVM address. The Algorand account is controlled directly by the user through their existing wallet, creating a unified experience similar to the account models introduced by Aptos and Sei. Assets can be bridged in as needed using third party cross-chain services, and once funded, users can interact with Algorand dApps as native participants, all from the wallet they already use.
xChain Accounts are live today with Alpha Arcade, one of the leading prediction markets in crypto by transaction and notional volume. Users can connect in seconds and start interacting immediately. No new wallets and no need to start from scratch.
For developers, this is a foundational infrastructure upgrade. Any Algorand dApp can now tap into the broader EVM user base from day one, with minimal or no changes to existing applications or smart contracts. xChain reduces friction at the wallet layer and brings ecosystems closer together, making it easier to onboard new users who can arrive and participate natively, right out of the box.

This is just the beginning. As the xChain Accounts model evolves the same approach can extend further to other ecosystems, bringing more users, more liquidity, and more networks into a single, unified experience.
