Building on last week's announcement that ecosystem operations are now unified under Algorand Foundation, we're sharing three promotions that strengthen our ability to deliver on our commitment to financial empowerment. These promotions will support better protocol infrastructure, a more cohesive product layer, and an expanding ecosystem ready for the next wave of on-chain activity.
Bruno Martins named Chief Technology Officer
Bruno Martins has been appointed Chief Technology Officer. Bruno has served as Chief Architect since joining the Foundation and stepped into the acting CTO role twice during critical moments. Bruno’s expertise spans blockchain engineering, applied cryptography, and key management systems. As CTO, Bruno will oversee protocol engineering and continue to drive innovation at Algorand.
Updates to the Product and Integrations team
Will Beaumont, previously Head of Pera Wallet, has been promoted to Global Head of Product & Integrations. Will now owns product strategy and solutions delivery across both the business and engineering organizations, including continued stewardship of Pera Wallet.
Brian Whippo, previously Head of Developer Relations, has been promoted to Senior Director of Integrations & Developer Tooling. Brian will lead developer relations and tooling, and will build out a new practice focused on helping businesses, ecosystem partners, and AI agents bring new activity on-chain.
This work sits at the intersection of two forces reshaping global finance: the growing demand for programmable, permissionless financial infrastructure, and the emergence of autonomous agents as on-chain participants.
Algorand continues to grow its platform and support a global community of developers and users. The leadership updates underscore the Foundation’s commitment to fostering innovation and financial empowerment worldwide.
