Only a few days after launching native quantum accounts after the Algorand v5.0.0 upgrade, Pera Wallet has helped Algorand cross 1,000,000 post-quantum resilient transactions.
What's behind the number
A significant share of the quantum transaction volume is coming from Pera's commemorative NFTs, signed using FALCON signatures, a NIST-selected post-quantum signature scheme, earned by connecting a quantum account and checking how many post-quantum transactions it's sent. There are three tiers: 1, 100, and 1,000 transactions. Each tier unlocks its own 3D collectible (3D support is a new feature within the recently released Pera 7).
Try it yourself
To learn more about native PQ accounts and how to create one, follow these steps:
- Open Pera Wallet and click your account in the upper left corner
- Tap + to add an account, then select “Add Quantum Account,” and name it
That’s it. If you already have an account you want to continue using? You can rekey that one instead and keep your same address and history.
Once you have a quantum account, it works just like any other account for signing transactions. That includes minting an ASA, which counts toward the total and comes out post-quantum resilient, with no extra setup needed.
Create a quantum account, participate in post-quantum transactions, and claim your NFTs.
