Welcome to the latest edition of The Algo Insights Report, recapping ecosystem metrics and momentum in May 2025.

May showed strong user engagement with notable MoM growth in monthly active users (+4.14%), asset creation (+4.72%), and RWA TVL (+2.64%). Algorand also hit two exciting milestones:

  1. First, transaction volume increased 2.20%, to over 3 billion transactions. (For context, the first billion transactions took 1,298 days to reach, the second 529, and the third just 335 days. Predictions on when we will reach 4 billion?)
  2. Second, online stake surged 7.09%, reaching over 2 billion total ALGO staked, demonstrating increased network participation and security. This is a +60% increase since the end of 2024.

Finally, social engagement also trended positively in May, particularly on Instagram (+11.21%), reflecting a growing community presence on the channel. Simon Bonanno, Head of Business Intelligence
