IEEE: AlgoID: A Blockchain Reliant Self-Sovereign Identity Framework on Algorand

This paper concerns the concept of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) - however, for its advantages, it needs to be truly decentralized (and thus, use blockchain). The authors propose Algorand Identity (AlgoID), a new SSI framework for the Algorand blockchain that uses Algorand itself for the storage of the data identity and as the registry location to increase security.
