Global Government Fintech: Public Blockchain Confirmed for Italian Bank Guarantees Project

Global Government Fintech reported on Italy's 'Fideiussioni Digitali' initiative, aimed at reducing fraud in bank and insurance guarantees, has selected Algorand as its public blockchain provider. Supported by the Bank of Italy and insurance regulator IVASS, the project will leverage blockchain to improve transparency and efficiency in financial transactions. Scheduled to launch in early 2023, this platform will mark the first EU use of blockchain for such purposes. Algorand was chosen for its innovation, security, and sustainability.
