CoinDesk reported that LimeWire, now an AI-powered content publishing platform, has launched an AI Music Studio allowing users to create and monetize music using generative AI tools. Content created in the studio can be minted on either the Polygon or Algorand blockchains, enabling ownership and tradeability. The rebranded LimeWire, acquired by Julian and Paul Zehetmayr in 2021, raised $10 million in April 2022 to launch a music-focused digital collectibles marketplace. The platform's NFT marketplace went live in 2022, with a public LMWR token sale concluding in June. LimeWire maintains a multi-chain approach, previously minting content primarily on Algorand and specific collections on Ethereum. The new AI Music Studio is part of LimeWire’s ongoing efforts to support artists with innovative tools.
