Algorand’s ecosystem saw rapid growth in August, with ASA creations surging 63.7%, rising from 12.59K in July to 20.6K, fueled by strong adoption in certificate tokenization.

The user base expanded as monthly active users climbed 3.9% to reach 667K, reflecting steady engagement across the network.

Real-world asset (RWA) total value locked momentum continued, underscoring Algorand’s expanding footprint in tokenized real-world assets, with total value locked surpassing the $100M milestone and increasing 6.3% month-over-month to $105.5M.

In a short-term adjustment, the Stablecoin market cap dipped as a CEX recalibrated its USDCa position, while broader ecosystem growth remained firmly intact.

Algorand tokenomics

At the end of August, ALGO’s circulating supply reached 8.73 billion, representing 87.3% of the total maximum supply. This marks a 0.46% increase from July.
